Message From The COMMANDER
Greetings comrades!
You will be getting your membership renewal notices for the 2027 membership year. Thank you to everyone that has renewed already. As CJ will likely mention in his article, there are quite a few events coming up in the next few months for our Color Guard/Honor Guard. This is a great way to get visibility in the community, so I appreciate everyone's help in advance. John Dyer

Message From The AUXILIARY
Dear Auxiliary Members,
Since June of 1921 the ALA Unit 11 in Green Bay has been a part of the Sullivan Wallen Post 11 Family, working alongside of our Legionnaires and Sons of the American Legion. We aspire to serve God and Country. Our motto is Service Not Self, and our mission is to enhance the lives of veterans, service members and their families.
But we are at a crossroads. When I ask myself where this Unit will be in a few years, I am worried. We are in critical need of active members to serve on our committees and as officers if we are to survive. I know many of you have done your service and to those I say thank you. But I think there are others that have great talents to share and some who know others in the community that are looking for a place to share their talents.
We also know that we are not a perfect organization so we are embarking on a program to revitalize who we are and what we can do to make our organization better. We invite all members to join us at our meeting on October 13th at 6:30 pm. ALA 9th District President, LuAnn James will be joining us to discuss how we can breathe new life into our Unit. We will also have the ability to Zoom the meeting if you cannot join us in person. Please contact Mary Krutz at 920-680-7938.
If you can’t join us, we welcome your thoughts and ideas. Please email me at marykrutz@twc.com, or contact any of the officers. Mary Van Egren

I want to thank Monica Leigh for scanning these books for our Archives.
Also, if you are at any Post 11 event, Military event, or Veteran’s event, consider taking pictures with your phone. Email them to the post who will forward them to me. We can include them in the Post 11 webpage. (Note: I do edit the photos if necessary. Almost all photos I take I later edit.) Tom Kenevan
