Badger Boys State

At American Legion Boys State, participants are exposed to the rights and privileges, the duties and the responsibilities of a franchised citizen. The training is objective and practical with city, county and state governments operated by the students elected to the various offices. Activities include legislative sessions, court proceedings, law enforcement presentations, assemblies, bands, chorus and recreational programs.

High school juniors are selected by local American Legion Posts to attend the program. In most cases, expenses associated with attending this program are paid by a sponsoring American Legion Post, a local business or another community-based organization.

Who We Are

The Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a proud organization committed to supporting veterans, strengthening our community, and promoting patriotism through dedicated service. As descendants of veterans who served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces, our members honor that legacy by working side-by-side with The American Legion Family to uphold core American values and serve those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

At Sullivan-Wallen Post #11, our Squadron actively participates in community events, fundraisers, veteran outreach efforts, and youth programs. We take pride in fostering a spirit of volunteerism and unity while helping to ensure that the needs of veterans and their families are met. Whether through local service projects or national initiatives, the Sons of the American Legion remain dedicated to preserving the ideals of justice, freedom, and democracy.
